Hi Rachel,

Thanks so much for sharing this article. I love that it gave a reason to those moments in the morning when I just stare off in space (and all that time I spend reading here, watching Mad Men there).

I for one do watch Mad Men...and I am always so impressed with how they pull me right into that era. It's not forced, it's natural. I'm just staring through a small window at people living their lives in the 60's. Very, very cool!

The only thing I would change are Peggy's bangs. Ay carumba! She's a woman now...and a writer with her own office...she really needs to do away with the bangs that are too short for her long forehead! :-)

I'm watching the series on Netflix...so I'm a little behind. Perhaps she's finally grown them out?

I love how he says, and I am paraphrasing here, "I spend 1-2 hours a day staring into the air thinking. And if someone asks me what I'm doing, I tell them I'm working." LOVE IT! The mind of a writer (and I mean someone innately blessed with the ability to put words together) is never at rest. I was writing in my mind at 3:00 this morning on my couch listening to the rain as my daughter slept peacefully in MY spot in the king size bed. Just reading this article makes me want to go write something... I think I will. ;) Glad you shared this article! {And I have never watched Mad Men. I don't think we get the network it's shown on. And I don't think my husband would watch it with me!}

Hey Stephanie - no worries, no need to tune in to that show. It captures the era of the 60s when people thought smoking was healthy and sexism in the work place was normal. Obviously a lot has changed since then - for the better.

So glad smoking holds no appeal to you now! You have a great day too!

Rachel,Sweet sister :)....I have no idea what you are talking about! I have never heard of this show!! I can tell you that I too would have a problem watching people smoke! I get SICK as a dog when I see a cigarette...LOL, I think it's God's way of keeping me from going back to smoking! Thank You Jesus!!! So I can't make any other remarks :/.
